Welcome to thankyü Connect. These Terms & Conditions apply to all organisations that register for a thankyü Connect account. By signing up, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. About thankyü Connect
thankyü Connect is a flexible tipping and rewards platform for businesses, organisations, and employers with multiple team members. It allows staff to seamlessly receive, manage, and withdraw tips through individual thankyü accounts.
2. Key Features
· No contracts or commitments – thankyü Connect can be used without financial or legal obligations for the business.
· Flexible tip distribution – Tips can be split based on equal share, effort, hours worked, or any method that fits your team.
· Individual user accounts – Each team member must have a thankyü Now or thankyü Freedom account to receive tips.
· Direct payouts – Tips are paid directly to individual users, offering transparency and compliance.
3. Account Setup & Administrators
· Each organisation must assign a primary administrator to manage the account.
· Additional users can be added for reporting or settings access.
· Organisations are responsible for ensuring that all users follow these Terms & Conditions.
4. Receiving Tips
· Customers can send tips directly to your team via thankyü.
· Tips are collected by thankyü and held on behalf of individual recipients.
· Payouts are made directly to staff accounts, in line with thankyü’s standard payout schedule.
5. No Employment or Payroll Relationship
· thankyü Connect is not a payroll system and does not process salaries, wages, or employment benefits.
· There is no PAYE, NIC, or employer tax implication for thankyü.
· Individuals are responsible for declaring their own income.
· Organisations must ensure they meet HMRC and employment guidance for fair and legal tip distribution.
6. Fees & Charges
· There are no charges for organisations using Connect.
· Any fees (e.g. transaction or platform fees) are applied at the individual user level through their thankyü accounts.
· Fee structures may be pay-as-you-go or subscription-based, depending on the user’s plan.
7. Data Use & GDPR Compliance
· thankyü processes data in accordance with UK GDPR.
· By registering, you agree that thankyü may:
o Process data for payouts and service operation
o Contact admins with updates and account info
o Share relevant partner offers with users (never sold or shared beyond trusted processors)
· Admins can manage communication preferences via account settings.

8. Account Suspension & Termination
thankyü may suspend or terminate an account if it:
· Engages in fraud or prohibited activity
· Breaches platform terms or legal obligations
· Violates data protection laws
Organisations can close their Connect account at any time by emailing help@thankyu.com.
9. Liability & Disclaimers
· thankyü services are provided “as is” without guaranteed uninterrupted access.
· We are not responsible for your organisation’s financial, legal, or tax compliance.
· You are responsible for ensuring your business meets all relevant obligations tied to funds received or distributed via thankyü.

thankyü Connect – Account Verification

Account Verification
After completing the sign-up process, thankyü will verify your organisation’s details using our standard Know Your Business (KYB) AML and compliance checks. This helps protect ‘tippers’, your organisation, and the wider thankyü community.
As part of this process, we may verify:
Registered organisation details
Directors or primary stakeholders
Address and contact information
Trading history (where applicable)
If any submitted information cannot be verified, or if there are concerns based on these checks, thankyü reserves the right to decline the application. Applicants will be notified by email if this occurs.
We also reserve the right to conduct ongoing monitoring of thankyü Connect accounts. If concerns arise in the future, thankyü may suspend or terminate an account.
Organisations may request access to the verification data thankyü holds in relation to these checks at any time.
